Candid Circle is an adult platform. You must be 18 or older to create an account or access any content.

Why we verify age

We host mature content for adult audiences. Age verification is a legal and ethical requirement, not an option. We take this responsibility seriously.

What you need to verify

At registration, you will complete a one-time verification process:

  1. A government-issued photo ID. Accepted documents include a passport, driver's license, national ID card, or other government-issued document with your photo and date of birth. The document must be current and not expired.
  2. A selfie. You will take a short selfie or short video clip so our system can confirm the ID belongs to you. This liveness check prevents someone submitting a photo of another person's ID.

The verification takes under two minutes in most cases.

Who processes your documents

ID verification is handled by an accredited identity verification provider. They process your document and selfie under their own privacy certifications and return only a pass/fail result to us. We do not receive or store a copy of your raw ID image or selfie after the check completes.

What we retain

After verification, we keep only:

  • Whether verification passed or failed
  • The document type used (e.g. passport, driver's license) but not the document number or image
  • The date and time of verification
  • A reference ID from our verification provider for audit purposes

This record stays on file for the life of your account plus 3 years after closure. This period is required for regulatory compliance and to defend against false age claims.

What we do not retain

We do not store photos of your ID document. We do not store your selfie. We do not retain your document number, address, or any other field from your ID beyond what is listed above.

If verification fails

Verification can fail for several reasons: a blurry document photo, an expired ID, or a liveness check that could not confirm a match. If your attempt fails, you can retry with a clearer image or a different accepted document. If you believe verification failed in error, contact us at candid-circle@sogoodmail.co.

After verification

Once verified, you will not need to re-verify unless your account is flagged for review or you request a data reset. Verification status is tied to your account and does not transfer.
